Overnight, news has come in of an unexpected twist in the Rob Stewart wrongful death lawsuit.

US Coast Guard Tweet Announcing That Rob Stewart's Body Had Been Found

The Key Largo Volunteer Fire Department has now denied it has a dive rescue team.

The Southeast District of the US Coast Guard tweeted on 3 February 2017 at 16.05 the "Body of diver Mr Stewart reportedly found @ depth of 220 ft by ROV assist to Key Largo Vol Fire Dept."

Now, after almost two months later of silence whilst the world said "thank you for being part of Rob Stewart rescue", the Key Largo Volunteer Fire Department has suddenly distanced itself from the dive team.

The Miami Herald state they believe this "is rooted in a lawsuit filed this week in Broward County Circuit Court by Stewart’s family against Key Largo’s Horizon Dive Adventures and a Fort Lauderdale diving equipment company called Add Helium LLC."
