RECALL: Huish Outdoors issues regulator notice
The USA based manufacturer has issued a recall notice today on Oceanic and Hollis regulators.
The regulators in question can restrict airflow at low tank pressures (below 34 bar / 500 psi), and can therefore pose a drowning hazard to divers. The remedy is to repair the regulator.
This recall relates to approximately 4,500 units sold in the USA and 330 units sold in Canada from October 2017 through to June 2018.
Only regulators with certain part numbers are included in the recall.
The serial number is laser etched on the first stage body. The Part numbers and UPC numbers are only printed on the packaging.
Divers should immediately stop using the recalled scuba diving regulators and contact your local Oceanic or Hollis dealer for a free repair.
