Undersea aficionados who don’t want to get wet will soon be able to experience the marine world of the Maldives. Ocean Group, a watersport activity provider in the country, has announced a partnership with underwater flight manufacturer DeepFlight Adventures to launch the three-man DeepFlight Super Falcon 3S Submarine, the first available in the area.

Accompanied by a trained pilot, guests will be able to get a 360-degree view through acrylic canopies from their individual cockpits. Able to keep pace with whales, dolphins, and other sea creatures, it cancan safely do barrel rolls and bank like a jet. The submarine is also equipped with integrated video-capture, enabling guests to relive their experiences after the journey.

DeepFlight Adventures Managing Director Adam Wright said the company was delighted to be working with Ocean Group to bring underwater submarine excursions to the Maldives. “We believe DeepFlight Adventures offers a great opportunity for hotels to differentiate their properties by offering their guests the ability to access the beautiful underwater world right from the resorts,” he told the Jakarta Post.

“We truly believe that resort tourism, in general, will benefit from having this unique activity available for resort guests in the Maldives,” said Hussain Zahid, Founder and Managing Director of Ocean Group. The submarine is set to launch at a luxury resort later this year, with its maiden journey in the fourth quarter of 2017.
