Suunto's popular computer now sports the name 'Zoop Novo'. So what makes this "bright star" special?

Like its predecessor, the Zoop Novo promises to be a great 'my first dive computer' for recreational divers.

This wrist or console mounted unit has enough features to inform a diver as they start out on their diving journey. And as the diver's experience develops and underwater excursions become more adventurous, the computer easily keeps pace, ie full decompression capabilities.

The Zoop Novo is an air / nitrox / gauge / freediving computer that can be dived to 80 metres.

It supports a single (non-switchable) nitrox blend - 21% to 50% EANx - and the user is able to adjust their oxygen partial pressure (PPO2) from 1.2 to 1.6 bar.

The display has been augmented in this model - the digits are bigger and there is a back light.

As you would expect the algorithm used is the Suunto RGBM.
