Do you dive a Suunto diving computer? Have you got a friend that either does not dive, or does not dive in the UK?
Does the thought of cold water put them off?
Time to show them that British water is not that cold. All you have to do is head to Chepstow this Saturday (14 September).
Free Atlantis Aqua Park Session
The National Diving & Activity Centre (NDAC) and Suunto have teamed up, so that you and a friend can check out the Atlantis Aqua Park for FREE!
To take advantage of this offer - worth £60 - simply book in advance by emailing NDAC . You will need to bring along your Suunto computer on the day to verify you dive one.
Your session will include wetsuit hire, a buoyancy aid, equipment fitting, safety briefing and 30 minutes on the Atlantis Aqua Park. Just check in at 17.00 and the session starts at 18.00. Alternatively, go for a dive during the day and then play on the aquapark afterwards.
Kit Demo Day
NDAC are also hosting a demo day on Saturday 14 September 2019. This will be their biggest event to date and it is open to divers of all abilities and non-divers are welcome too.
To get the most out of your equipment it is useful to get some in-water time and experience before you buy it. Manufacturers understand that you can not always borrow, hire, steal, and beg equipment from fellow divers or your local club or dive centre and try it out. Hence they hold equipment manufacturer demo days so that you can test dive it for yourself.
When you are test diving equipment, do try and dive ‘familiar’ diving equipment too because it will help reduce stress levels. By getting some in-water time, you will gain a mental and physical reference which enables you to start forming ideas of what equipment you want, and the route you wish to follow.
NDAC states that there will be a lot happening onsite including try-dives, live music and a BBQ, so bring along your BFF and introduce them to British diving!
