About:

“So far we are the oldest couple applying and we expect to get the official record”, states Phil. Buddy Dive’s dive masters have helped the couple in signing official records of their dives during their stay at the resort. “They treated us as a celebrity couple”, they say both laughing. “Buddy is such a good and friendly place, lots of diving and great dive guides which all work together very well. For over fifteen years we have been coming to Buddy Dive and there was no doubt we wanted to establish the record at our favorite place on Bonaire”, Phil explains.

From the first time they visited Bonaire they fell in love with the island. “We knew immediately that we were coming back”, Grace says. Phil Hampton started diving at his 30’s and has an excessive 2900 dives, his wife certified at age 57 and has done 1500 dives so far. “Air bubbles and salt water are beneficial for mental health”, they joke. And so it seems, while they are still diving at age 85. Buddy Dive’s management put a spotlight on the couple for their establishment during happy hour on Friday’s: “We feel honored to be part of this establishment and we wish Phil and Grace many more years of diving!”
