Aquatica has announced that it will be releasing its new housing for the Canon EOS 7D Mk II in early 2015.

The new A7D Mk II housing will have improved ergonomics and take full advantage of all the advanced functionality of the newly released and highly regarded Canon EOS 7D Mk II.

Precision machined from high grade aluminum solid stock and the anodized and powder coated for added protection Aquatica claim the housing can routinely go beyond 3,000 hours in salt water.

Access is available to all the 7D Mk II's controls and special attention has been given to the controls of the video features, for which a smooth operation is always crucial when shooting video footage. Control knobs are large sized to make them easier to use in cold water.

The housing is fully compatible with Aquatica’s port system and is depth rated to 300ft/90m and up to 425ft/130m (free of charge) on request.

The A7D Mk II will be available with optical, Nikonos or Ikelite strobe connections and will retail at US$2,800.
